As a Program Associate, Tina works with Senior Program Manager and Mediator Joan Calcagno to provide administrative and programmatic support to projects within the Transportation and Urban Development sector. This includes formalizing contracts, managing budgets, planning forums and meetings, and handling logistics. These conferences attract between 300-400 attendees from across the country and several internationally. Participants include government representatives, non-governmental organizations, tribal nations and members, community based groups, environmental advocates, corporate entities, resource managers and users, technologists and professionals in the field of conflict resolution and consensus building.
Tina first joined the Institute in 1999 as the Executive Assistant to the Institute Director. In that capacity, she served as a liaison for the director to expedite the flow of information and interpret policies and procedures, both within and outside of the organization. She was instrumental in overseeing the general administrative operations of the U.S. Institute, supervised the administrative staff, and was involved in the early development of a program management database system. One of Tina's responsibilities also included the overall operational support of the U.S. Institute's National Environmental Conflict Resolution Advisory Committee. She assisted the Designated Federal Officer with committee communications, planning and reporting and was the designated point of contact for committee related public inquiries.
Tina has several years experience providing events coordination, and operational and administrative support. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arizona and is a Tucson native.
